  We are very happy that you have found us! The goal of Les Amis (which means "the friends") is to share our love for the art of fencing with any and all who are interested in learning. So welcome, and well met indeed! Les Amis Fencing Club was founded in 1982 in Buffalo, NY by a group of fencers who came together to learn and practice their art and sport under the tutelage of Fencing Master Steve Hilbert. Mr. Hilbert, who passed away in January 2003, was a certified Fencing Master since the late 1960's and had been a fencer for some 63 years. Les Amis is a salle dedicated to the art of classical foil fencing in the French style. Its members are committed to the traditional values of swordsmen and -women which form the cornerstone of chivalry, knighthood, and ideals which engender personal honor, inner strength, grace, respect and courtesy. While learning this noble skill, we develop friendships, enjoy many social programs and just have fun!
